Bollywood actor Salman Khan has been made the brand ambassador of the first Kho Kho World Cup
Kho Kho Federation of India (KKFI) has announced Indian superstar Salman Khan as the brand ambassador for the Kho Kho World Cup.
It is set to take place in New Delhi between January 13th to January 19th, 2025.
This historic event will be hosted at the Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium and the Noida Indoor Stadium.
It will be done by the Indian Olympic Association (IOA) in partnership with The Kho Kho Federation of India (KKFI).
The tournament will feature 24 countries from six continents, with both men's and women's teams competing.
About Kho Kho
Kho Kho is a traditional Indian sport.
The game is played on a rectangular field measuring 29 meters in length and 16 meters in width.
Each team consists of 12 players, but only 9 players take the field during a match.
It was formalized in 1914, and the first set of rules was introduced by the Deccan Gymkhana of Pune.
The Kho Kho Federation of India (KKFI), formed in 1955, governs the sport in India.

In 2005, the United Nations General Assembly declared December 20 as International Human Solidarity Day
It was done to promote solidarity in accomplishing the Millennium Development Goals.
In December 2002, UNGA created a World Solidarity Fund.
The World Solidarity Fund was set up as a trust fund of the United Nations Development Programme.
